Description

Anise has been grown for thousands of years and in ancient times was used for its medicinal and digestive properties.
Nowadays it is used in savoury dishes (fish, potatoes ...) and desserts like gingerbread, ice cream and in liqueurs and aperitifs.

Applications:
Mix it with flour to bring a fruity note to bread, cake and all pastries.
It'll add a hint of freshness to jams and chutneys.

Make your own anise sugar: add a teaspoon of green anise to a 1kg jar of brown sugar.
Then leave the flavour to infuse into the sugar for 8 days before.
